Why didn't I receive cashback?

Not all transactions are eligible for cashback. If you made a purchase but didn't receive cashback, it's most likely because the merchant falls into an excluded category or you have reached your fair usage limit.

If you haven't received cashback, the reason must be one of the following:

  1. You did the payment using curve

  2. The Merchant code category of the merchant you did the payment with is excluded from the program

  3. You have reached your cashback fair usage limit

To receive cashback, your card transaction must:

  • Be made with your Bleap card (physical or virtual)

  • Be in an eligible merchant category

  • Be within your monthly cashback cap

  • The transaction was completed and it's not pending

1. You payed with a curve

Payments routed through Curve are excluded from Bleap's cashback programme, even if the underlying card is your Bleap card.

To earn cashback, always pay directly with your Bleap card, either the physical card or the virtual card in your app. Do not use it as the underlying card in Curve or similar wallet apps.

2. The merchant's category is excluded from the programme

Every merchant has a Merchant Category Code (MCC) assigned by card networks. Certain MCCs are not eligible for cashback, regardless of what you purchased.

Government & tax

  • Taxes & fines (9311, 9222, 9223)

  • Court costs & bail (9211)

  • Government services (9399, 9402, 9405, 9411)

Utilities

  • Electricity, gas, water, sanitation (4900)

  • Postal services (9402)

Other excluded

  • Gift & souvenir shops (5947)

  • Computer software & IT services (5734, 7372)

  • Professional & secretarial services (7349)

  • Charities, religious & political orgs (8398, 8651, 8661)

  • Hospitals (8062)

  • Art dealers & galleries (5971)

  • Business services (7399)
