What is a dedicated IBAN?
Your dedicated IBAN is a personal account number that belongs to you, not Bleap. When someone sends money to it, the EURe lands directly in your Bleap account - just like a bank account in your own name.
When will dedicated IBANs be live and what's the transition period?
Dedicated IBANS will be live in the second quarter of 2026. During the transition period, users will see their dedicated IBANs gradually. To prevent any issues only send to the details in your homescreen, these will be updated when your dedicated IBAN is ready.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required, when your dedicated IBAN is ready it will show up automatically in your app details. Always check the details before making a transfer to ensure you send to the correct details.
How is this different from before?
Previously, when you sent money to your Bleap account, you were sending to a shared IBAN with a reference code and was credited to your balance. Now you have your own unique IBAN. Senders will see your name, not Bleap's, on their bank transfer and you don’t need to use a reference anymore.
Who is the provider of my IBAN?
Your dedicated IBAN is issued by Monerium, a regulated electronic money institution licensed across the EU. Monerium are also the issuer of EURe, the digital euro that sits in your Bleap balance. So your IBAN and funds are part of the same regulated infrastructure.

Share your dedicated IBAN with whoever is sending you money. A friend, employer, or payment platform. When they make a SEPA transfer to it, the EURe will appear in your Bleap balance automatically.
What currency can I receive into my IBAN?
Send EUR only via a standard or instant SEPA bank transfer and it will arrive in your Bleap balance as EURe, which are digital euros issued by Monerium. Spend them as you normally would.
Will the sender see my name or Bleap's name?
Your name. Your dedicated IBAN is registered to you and you are also the beneficiary, so the sender's bank will show your name.
Is my dedicated IBAN safe to share?
Yes. Sharing an IBAN is standard practice - it can only be used to send money to you, not to withdraw funds from your account.
When I send money, will it show my IBAN or Bleap's?
Outgoing transfers will still show Bleap as the sender. Dedicated IBANs currently only apply to incoming transactions. Outbound dedicated IBAN support is coming in the future.
Can I use my IBAN for direct debits?
Not yet, direct debits are not supported at launch. Your dedicated IBAN is for incoming transfers only.
